If you ended up in the Berkshire Crossings shopping plaza over the weekend, you likely saw members of law enforcement from around Berkshire County collecting money in the 9th Annual Cop on Top fundraiser, and you may have even noticed some up on the roof!

The weekend weather didn't stop Officers from all over the area as they braved the rains, standing outside collecting money from passing motorists and camping on the roof of the Hubbard Ave Walmart, from 9 a.m. on Saturday, until 5 p.m. Sunday. Despite 32 hours of cold, wet rain Officers were up on the rooftop cheering on shoppers as they visited the store and participated in all the great things our one of a kind event had to offer.

From donations, sales from a large raffle, bake sale and hot food and even giveaways Law Enforcement Torch Run Special Olympics swag, 2018's even brought in $45,000, just shy of their $50,000 goal.

Although we were only a few dollars away from our $50,000 event goal, we battled cold and rain on day two. We want to thank our Sponsors, Supporters, Volunteers, Athletes and Officers who made this event a success! We would also like to say a BIG thank you to our friends at Walmart for continuing to host this event

Pittsfield Police Officer and Event Organizer,
