Berkshire County Kids' Place is hosting the 23rd annual Jimmy's Ride on Saturday July 28, 2018. This annual event is held in memory of Pittsfield native, Jimmy Bernardo, who was abducted in October of 1990 and later found dead.

This is why we have the Jimmy's Ride because I don't want what happened to my brother to happen to any other child. We need to protect our children and this event brings to light the issues facing our children so we can better learn the signs of abuse and stop it from happening. It brings a smile to my face every year we have the event because I know the money we raise goes directly to helping children, but it also brings a lot of tears to my eyes, because I miss my brother dearly.  -Event organizer and Jimmy's brother Robert Bernardo.

Jimmy's Ride starts at The Kids' Place, 63 Wendell Avenue in Pittsfield at 11 AM. The ride ends at Bousquet Ski Area followed by a post ride event featuring live music plus food and drink, which is open to the public. Bands playing include Red Handed, Shyne, Hot Shot Hillbillies, and 2 Broke Beths. To register and for more information visit thedriven.net/jimmysride2018.
