The annual Pittsfield Halloween Parade is set to kick off the celebration of one of our favorite holidays.

The City of Pittsfield Parks and Recreation Department announced that the event is set for Friday night, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. Like it has been the last few years, this year's Halloween Parade will take place on Tyler Street.

Schools and community groups throughout the City are encouraged to participate. If you would like your group to be a part of the 2018 Pittsfield Halloween Parade, you can get your application packet right here.

For those who are participating that want to create a float that will be on display, there will be a float seminar on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at City Hall, Room 203. The seminar will kick off at 6 p.m.

If you have any additional questions about being a part of this annual tradition on Tyler Street, you can contact the Recreation Activities Coordinator for the City of Pittsfield at 499-9371, or you can check out the official event page on Facebook.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Halloween Parade on Oct. 27.
