Carr Hardware Named Independent Small Business of the Year

Remember last week when we spotlighted Carr Hardware as a semifinalist as The Independent Small Business of the Year 2017? Check out the original article here. Well with the help of our listeners and loyal Carr patrons every, not only did they make it to the top ten, THEY WON!

The Indie Awards celebrates small businesses relationships with the communities that helped make them successful and keeping with that theme, Carr Hardware has committed to donating their $5000 cash prize to help install a splash pad at Clapp Park on West Housatonic Street in Pittsfield.

I think I speak for all of us here in Berkshire County when I say I'm proud to live in an area that supports a thriving local business economy that has been recognized nationally. Further more, bravo to Carr Hardware for not only recognizing that a business is only as successful as the community that surrounds it, but also giving it's winnings right back to those very people.
