A 36-year-old Pittsfield man was arraigned on a pair of charges Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court.

According the the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office, Lamond Grady appeared before Judge Mark Mason and had not guilty pleas entered in his behalf. Grady is being charged with one count each of unarmed robbery and assault and battery on a person 60 years of age or older.

Judge Mason ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $1,000 cash, or $10,000 surety bail.

It is alleged that Grady took money from Tyler Street Pizza House on March 28 and assaulted a 63-year-old employee during the incident.

No word on when Grady will be back in court. The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
