The Egremont Police are investigating an attempted abduction.

Egremont Police officials shared a post to their Facebook page Wednesday night saying that at approximately 5 p.m., a female was jogging on Creamery Road when she was approached by "an older gray or silver Jeep Wrangler with a soft top and tape on the windows."

When the vehicle stopped, the front seat passenger opened the door and grabbed the woman by the arm, according to Egremont PD. Luckily, the woman was able to break free and ran to safety at a nearby house. The Jeep Wrangler would drive off heading towards Route 23, heading south on Creamery Road.

The suspects are being described as four Hispanic males who were unknown to the victim. She was unable to obtain the registration number of the vehicle, but was able to describe the plates being from New York -- one of the newer gold and black plates.

Egremont Police ask if you have any information related to the investigation to contact them at (413) 528-2160.
