As a parent, part of your routine when heading anywhere -- at least often times for me, anyways -- is making sure you have time to stop and get a coffee to put a little bit of pep in your step. There is good news for people like us if your destination is the First Street Common in Pittsfield.

According to a report from iBerkshires.com, the City of Pittsfield has approved a lease agreement to allow a coffee kiosk to be set up on the sidewalk just outside of the Common. The kiosk will be run by Jim Fiorentino and will be called "Poseidon Coffee."

The structure will be made of wood, according to iBerkshires.com, and will be 6-feet by 8-feet in size. Poseidon Coffee is set to debut on Sept. 10. Selection will include a variety of beverages -- from coffee, cappuccino, lattes and more, as well as hot chocolate in the fall.

Hours of operation, according to the report, will be from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the week and every other weekend between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
