The holidays are a crazy busy time of year for everyone, but it's a great time of year to give back. Berkshire Community Action Council is giving people are great opportunity to help out local children have truly magical holiday.

The role of BCAC, incorporated in 1966, is to assist the low-income, elderly and working-poor of Berkshire County towards achieving sustainability and self-sufficiency. The non-profit group offers many services, including the long standing Holiday Joy Program and Giving Tree. The Holiday Joy Program is a collaboration among many local businesses, organizations, and members of our community to provide warm clothing, toys, and food, to families with low-incomes who struggle to meet their basic needs. This year BCAC has teamed up with The Salvation Army Pittsfield CorpsThe Christian Center and The Eagle Santa Fund

Over 810 children have already been sponsored so far, but there are still 295 children in need of sponsors.
