With Governor Charlie Barker's first term coming to a conclusion, a group of Democratic candidates have emerged for the chance to challenge the incumbent's reelection.  Berkshire County residents will get their chance to meeting the democratic hopefuls this Saturday, thanks to the Berkshire Democratic Brigades and The Berkshire Central Labor council, who are co-sponsoring the forum.

This Saturday at 4 pm in the American Legion Hall in Pittsfield, the county's official Democratic organization will host a candidates forum, welcoming Jay Gonzalez, Bob Massie and Setti Warren to a conversation moderated by State Sen. Adam Hinds. The discussion will focus on the future of the region and Massachusetts.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that according to numerous polls, Gov. Charlie Baker is the most popular in the country, and announced his plans to run for a second term in November of 2017.  Democratic candidates will compete in the primary on September 4th, and the winner will continue on to the gubernatorial election on November 6th.

The forum is open to the public and free to attend, but donations to Berkshire Democratic Brigades are encouraged.
