I thought April Fools Day was on the first of this month.

Let's start with some good news from Mother Nature -- this weekend is looking pretty solid. Saturday, the expected forecast is partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 40's to the low 50's. Sunday looks even better with sunny skies expected and highs near 55 degrees.

But first, the bad news. The dreaded 'S' word in the latter part of April.

Yes, snow is heading to our wonderful area on Wednesday night into Thursday. How much you ask? The National Weather Service is predicting in the 3 to 4 inch range. Weather.com is predicting, with a huge gap for error, anywhere from 2 to 6 inches of snow.

I, along with many reading this, is not going to put too much stock in the realm of local meteorology, but at the end of the day, just even discussing snow in the second half of April is just flat out annoying.

For those looking for a silver lining, it is going to be a decent weekend of weather. It's just unfortunate that a chunk of it will be wasted on melting snow and drying up the slop. The consistently warmer temperatures are coming, it just is going to take a little bit longer than anticipated.
