A Lanesborough man was arraigned in Berkshire District Court on several drug and firearm charges Tuesday afternoon.

The Berkshire County District Attorney's Office stated that 20-year-old Tanner Murray was arraigned, and pleaded not guilty, on one count, each, of distribution of heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws: possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, illegal ownership of a firearm, rifle or shotgun, improper storage of a firearm, rifle or shotgun and possession of ammunition without a firearm  identification card.

Judge Daniel Ford ordered Murray to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail.

"The charges stem from an investigation into illegal drug activity in Berkshire County and the execution of a search warrant at Murray's home on February 15, 2018," the DA's office said in a release.

No official word on when Murray will be heading back to the courtroom.
