It was quite the battle between the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night that ended in a dramatic win for the Pats.

Of course, there was to be that one idiot who tries to ruin it for everyone.

The Sunday Night Football battle took place at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro and it was the offensive shootout most expected. Late in the 4th quarter, with the Patriots up by seven points, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes found a wide open receiver in Tyreek Hill downfield. Hill used his incredible speed to turn it into a 75-yard TD, which ended up tying the game.

As Hill was celebrating his accomplishment, he found himself with a face full of beer courtesy of a Patriots fan -- as you can see, briefly, in the video below courtesy of the NFL's Twitter page.

On Monday, the Patriots organization released a statement in regards to the beer-throwing fan that violated the "code of conduct." He will no longer be welcome at the stadium.

"Gillette Stadium security has identified the fan who violated the fan code of conduct by tossing beer onto a player during the game last night," said the team in a statement. "The matter has been turned over to local law enforcement and the fan will be sent a letter of disinvite to all future events at Gillette Stadium."

Have fun at these games, ladies and gentlemen. Cheer, yell, get excited. But don't get physical or throw things at the players. It never, ever ends well.
