Pittsfield Christmas Tree Pick Up

We know there's always debate as to when to get rid of your Christmas tree, but whenever you do decide to drag that sucker out to the yard, what do you do with it then?

The City Pittsfield has announced a pick-up schedule for residents to discard their old Christmas trees the month of January accompanying the regular Republic Services trash pick up schedule.

• The Week of Jan. 7, trees will be picked for Monday and Friday routes.
• The Week of Jan. 15, they will pick up trees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday routes.
• The week of Jan. 21, Republic will resume with tree collections on Monday and Friday routes.
• The last week of Jan. 28, trees will be picked up Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday routes.

Trees will not be picked up on routes unless its the designated week.
