The City of Pittsfield’s annual Veterans Day parade and ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11.

This year marks the Centennial Commemoration of the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918.  A special tribute will be given to honor those who have served in this war.

For those participating, lineup will take place from 12 to 12:45 p.m. on Fenn, Pearl and Allen streets and will depart from City Hall at 1 p.m. The group will proceed to the Pittsfield Veterans’ Memorial Park on South Street for the ceremony.

Please note that in case of inclement weather, the exercises will be held at Morningside Community School located at 100 Burbank St. at 1 p.m.  Stay tuned to local radio stations for information pertaining to weather-related updates.

Following the ceremony, a light reception and open house for veterans and their family members will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Pittsfield VA Outpatient Clinic at 73 Eagle St.
