Pittsfield Woman Arraigned on Charges Related to 2017 Shooting

According to a press release from the Berkshire Districts Attorney's Office, Carey A. Pilot, 45, of Pittsfield, was charged with two counts of armed assault with intent to murder.  She was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court in front of Judge John Agostini.  Pilot entered not guilty pleas on both counts.

Judge Agostini ordered that she be held at the Hampden County House of Correction without the right to bail. The charges stem from an incident in Pittsfield on October 2, 2017.  It is alleged that Pilot was involved in an attempt to harm a 38 year old man and a 25 year of woman.

Past reports confirm that October 2nd was the day Asiyanna Jones was shot and killed on Dewey Avenue in Pittsfield.

The investagtion was conducted by the Pittsfield Police Department.
