Berkshire Bank's Elm Street, Pittsfield location has been robbed, first reported by The Berkshire Eagle.

It is the second bank to be held up, and the third Elm Street business to be robbed in the past seven days, following the incident at Greylock Federal Credit Union as well as an armed robbery at Domino's Pizza.  No arrests have been made in either case.

Little information is know besides the fact that Pittsfield Police are responded to a reported robbery at Berkshire Bank on Elm Street on this morning.

Although nothing else has been confirmed, a woman on Facebook claimed to hear on a scanner that a white male suspect in a red shirt, weighing around 160 pounds, took off down Newell Street, but again, nothing has been confirmed.

Berkshire Bank was closed shortly before 11 a.m. and a sign on the door says the bank is temporarily closed due to a "power failure."

We'll continue to provide information as it becomes available. Check back for updates.
