Congratulations are in order for the Taconic High School boys basketball team.

The Braves headed to Worcester State University on Wednesday night to take on Shepherd Hill High School, out of Dudley, in the Division II State semi-finals. Taconic earned a State Championship Game birth with a 58-55 win.

Robert McCown lead Taconic with 20 points, while junior Quincy Davis added 16 of his own, 14 of those in the first half.

Taconic earned their birth in the Division II state tournament after defeating Tantasqua, Longmeadow and picking up a hard fought, one-point victory over Northampton in last Saturday's Western Mass. finals.

An incredible run by the Taconic High School boys basketball team will continue on Saturday when they take on Tech Boston for the Division II State crown. The time and location have yet to be announced.
