If you're looking to upgrade your child's car seat, you're in the luck. Target's Car Seat Trade In event is back. For the second time this year, participating Target stores are offering a 20% off coupon, now through September 22, for anyone who turns in a old car seat.

Here's how it works: A quick call to the Berkshire Mall Target location confirmed that they are a participating store, and will be offering a 20% off coupon good towards a new car seat, booster seat or travel system, along with other select baby gear, like strollers, high chairs and all that good stuff. So whether your child is moving from a car seat to a booster, or you have an old seat hanging around to that you want to pass over to a new mother to buy her first new seat, it's a great way to recycle and save a little cash, which every parent could use.

Simply bring in the old car seat and drop it off in the bin located at the front of the store near guest services and you'll get your coupon. The retail giant has once teamed up with Waste Management to recycle the old seats, a partnership that dates back to 2016.  Since the Target Trade event started, they have recycled over 300,000 car seats nationwide.
