VFW Post 448 Donates $10K To ‘Operation Copsicle’

On March 21, Pittsfield Police officer Darren Derby announced via his facebook page that donations would be accepted to help acquire a community ice cream truck.

"Operation Copsicle" just got enormous help from Pittsfield VFW Post 448. Officer Derby announced on Live 95.9 this morning with Slater and Marjo, that the VFW had donated $10,000!

Although the acquisition of an ice cream truck won't be completely unique to the Pittsfield Police Department, Officer Derby ensures that Pittsfield will have the best. Derby hinted on air this morning that it could come equipped with a mini movie theater!
