As if New Yorkers didn't need any more of a reminder of the New England Patriots' recent dominance, one of the state's iconic buildings added to the pain following Conference Championship Sunday.

After the New England Patriots came from behind to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Philadelphia Eagles smashed the Minnesota Vikings to earn Super Bowl berths, New York City's Empire State Building lit up with multiple colors. Unfortunately for New Yorkers, it was lit up with the colors of the conference winning teams, who are both bitter rivals of teams in the area.

The Patriots share the AFC East with the New York Jets while the Eagles share the NFC East with the New York Giants. If you expected New York football fans to make their voices heard after the Empire State Building gave their shoutout, you would be absolutely correct.
