2 Berkshire MMA Fighters to Fight for Titles This Month

Two local fighters who will represent The Berkshires will be vying for championships later on this month.

Matt Bienia and Neil Von Flatern, who train at ZenQuest Martial Arts in Lenox,  will both compete on Aug. 18 at Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth for the Cage Titans promotion -- which is one of the top promotions in New England. Bienia will challenge Chris O'Brien for the amateur lightweight title, while Von Flatern will challenge Trevor Gudde for the amateur welterweight title.

In his last fight, Bienia captured the Reality Fighting amateur lightweight title when he submitted the very tough Nathan Ghareeb at Mohegan Sun. "The Machine" will look to bring his third championship belt back to Berkshire County, while Von Flatern will look to add to the trophy case alongside his teammate in Lenox.
