5 Things Massachusetts Looks Forward To In November
Happy Halloween! Monday marks the last day of October as well as trick-or-treating for the kids. What comes next is November, obviously.
5 Things Massachusetts Looks Forward To In November
1. The End Of Daylight Saving Time.
The country was very close to permanently ending the twice a year changing of the clocks, but it's currently hung up in Congress. The bill to make daylight saving time permanent passed in the senate and is waiting to pass in the house. The clocks go back to Eastern Standard Time on November 6 at 2 a.m.
2. Election Day.
The Midterms! In an era of record high voter turnout due to political divisiveness in our country, we once again, go back to the polls. In Massachusetts, this election will decide a new governor as Charlie Baker decided not to run for re-election citing pandemic fatigue. Election Day is on November 8.
3. The Conclusion Of The World Series.
The Red Sox aren't in the World Series this year, but it's baseball, and the culmination of the season is here, and Massachusetts loves baseball! Go Philly!
4. Veteran's Day.
The Park of Honor looks great here in Downtown Pittsfield and it's absolutely necessary to honor and respect anyone who has served in the United States military. THANK YOU.
5. Thanksgiving.
Is there anything better than gathering with family, given that everyone gets along, around a meal? A much less commercialized holiday than Christmas and just great.
