Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

This week's Pet of the Week is Lincoln, a handsome 7-year-old treeing Walker coonhound. Lincoln was surrendered to Berkshire Humane Society along with his two siblings when his owner was sadly unable to keep them. Now Lincoln, along with his brother Daxter are patiently awaiting a new home; perhaps together.

Lincoln gets so excited to meet people he’d surely love to meet you! He’s a typical hound in the sense that he loves to follow his nose. Lincoln is working on his obedience and manners, but he’s incredibly food-motivated and eager to learn. He knows how to sit and is completely house-trained.

Lincoln loves nothing more than to play outside and go on long-line (leash) “sniffers” where he can sniff and explore to his heart’s content! He would thoroughly enjoy a dog friend, but no cats please as he does have a prey drive. Lincoln could happily live with kids as long as they promise to spoil him with love and treats! He may be 7 years old, but don’t let his age fool you! He still has plenty of pep in his step and loves adventuring.

If Lincoln sounds like a good fit for you and your family, please reach out to the Berkshire Humane Society kennel staff at (413)-447-7878 ext. 126 for more information or to potentially schedule a meet and greet. Both Lincoln and his brother Daxter’s adoption fees have been graciously sponsored by the “Danny Boy Adoption Fund”.
