This Waterfront Classic Has Been Named Best Seafood Restaurant in Massachusetts
Massachusetts is filled with so many fantastic eateries that it's hard to pick a favorite. From delicious farm-to-table restaurants in the Berkshire hills to some of the best Italian food outside of Italy in Boston's North End, and everything in between, Massachusetts is chock-full of culinary greatness.
When you think of the culinary scene in Massachusetts, or anywhere in New England, seafood is surely the first thing that comes to mind. You're not wrong. As of August this year, there are over 740 seafood restaurants in Massachusetts. That's more than double the number of cities and towns in the state.
Since there are some many seafood spots to choose from, there are always plenty of publications picking their favorite eateries. It just so happens that one of those has chosen two seafood joints that are said to have the best seafood restaurant in Massachusetts.
The popular food publication Love Food recently did some research to find the best seafood spots in every state, and some folks might be surprised to read that their selection isn't even on Cape Cod!

The winner in the Bay State? Boston Sail Loft. With stunning Atlantic Ave outdoor dining right on the water, the food is the only thing better than the views.
The fan favorite has been featured on Good Morning America and Wicked Eats, and locals ad visitors alike know this restaurant is a must try.
Here's what Love Food had to say:
At Boston Sail Loft, it's all about the chowder – or chowda, if you're a local. The waterside venue, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, has been slinging mugs of the New England seafood soup since 1984. The comforting chowder is complemented by a line-up of other casual seafood dishes, including indulgent lobster mac ’n’ cheese, soft broiled sea scallops, and fried fish sandwiches. Can't make it to Boston? The restaurant also ships its famous chowder nationwide.
