Disney Announces Some Unpopular Changes

If you're heading to Disney anytime soon, and staying at a Disney Resort, there's no new changes you might not be happy to hear.

Over 52,000 people visit Disney Theme Park's in ONE DAY, that's about 20,000,000 people per year. One thing that all of those people know, is that Disney can get expensive. Everyone has their own system for getting the most for their buck at the Florida hot spot, but if you're someone who stays on property at a Disney Resort, you won't be happy to hear about their new changes.

One of the reasons that many people stay at a Disney Resort, is the vast amount of free perks that come with paying a little extra to stay on property. One of those perks...free parking, UNTIL NOW. Dun Dun Dun. No but seriously, resorts guests are in for a big surprise.

According to Disney Lists, as of March 21st, 2018 guests at all Disney Resorts will incur nightly parking charges. Guests that booked their trips before March 21st of this year, will NOT incur the new parking surcharge.  Here's the rundown for pricing.

Standard Overnight Parking charges per Resort Category:

Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night

Complimentary standard parking is available to Guests staying at Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Each campsite provides parking space for one (1) motorized vehicle.

Valet Parking:
Valet Parking is available at select Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas for $33 per night (sales tax included).

Guests with Disabilities
Designated parking areas are available throughout Walt Disney World Resort for Guests with disabilities. A valid disability parking permit is required.

Disney Vacation Club:
Members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking when staying at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of whether they use vacation points or another form of payment. Members also will not be charged to park when using vacation points to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Day Guests:
Complimentary standard self-parking is available while enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at Disney Resort hotels.
