There will be some opportunities to get ready for Easter Sunday with weekend activities for the kids.

Along with the 74th annual Eggstravaganza Egg Scramble in Pittsfield, there will also be events in Lanesborough, Lenox and South Egremont for you and the family to hop to this weekend.

On Saturday, March 31, the Lenox Community Center Easter Egg Scramble will take place at Lilac Park. The free event will kick off at 11 a.m. sharp, so the LCC recommends that kids show up a few minutes early to find their spot. Kids should come equipped with their own Easter baskets. If there happens to be rain or snow, the event will move to the Lenox Community Center. Following the Scramble, kids will be able to have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny.

Also on Saturday, Peace Train Tees will sponsor a free visit with the Easter Bunny between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. near the Berkshire Mall Food Court. There will also be arts and crafts for the kids to take part in while they wait their turn. Parents should bring their own cameras to capture the photos.

Blue Rider Stables, 15 Farm Lane in South Egremont, will host their annual candy-free Easter egg hunt between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Admission is free for this event. There will be an additional cost for refreshments, pony rides, face painting and the hay bale maze. Rain or shine, this event is happening.

On Easter Sunday, the action returns to Lenox in support of the Berkshire United Way. An Easter egg hunt will kick off at Blantyre at 10:30 a.m. There will be a special toddler-sized egg hunt on the event lawn. If a child finds a "Golden Egg", they will receive a special prize. The cost is a $15 donation, or per family, with proceeds benefiting the Berkshire United Way. Hotel guests will have the event included. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets.

There are some great Easter weekend events in the Berkshires. Get out there, enjoy and create some amazing memories with your children.
