Ford Recalling Roughly 1.5M Pickup Trucks

Have you driven a F-150 lately? Ford Motor Co. is recalling roughly 1.5 million pick up trucks.

The transmission on 2011-2013 F-150 models with six speed automatic transmissions can downshift into first gear without warning.

The company says a glitch in sending a signal from the transmission speed sensor is the cause. Ford has five reports of accidents including one that caused a whiplash injury from a sudden downshift. - WHDH

Ford will notify owners by letter by March 4.
