‘I Just Want It Back’, Farm Owner Reports Stolen Trailer

A Pittsfield farm needs our help tonight, and this is exactly the kind of thing our community can move fast on.

Fort Hill Farm on Fort Hill Ave had a trailer stolen right off their property early this morning. The owner, Lauren Quinto, told me the trailer disappeared at 12:55am. Whoever took it pulled out of the farm's driveway and took a right onto Fort Hill, and from there they could have gone up to West Street or taken a right onto Gale Ave.

If you live anywhere along that stretch and you've got a camera on your house, your car, even your doorbell, please take a few minutes to check your footage from around 1am. Quinto knows that a lot of the neighboring cameras point toward the street and not on the farm's property, however.

She said the trailer is registered and has a plate on it, and it's roughly a 2001 model. For Lauren and her husband Anthony, this isn't just a piece of equipment, it's something they depend on to run the farm day to day.

I talked with Lauren directly, and she wants to be clear about something. She's not looking to press charges. She just wants the trailer back. If you know something, or if a trailer matching this description looks even a little familiar, do the right thing and call the Pittsfield Police.

There's also word of another trailer theft recently in that same area near West Street and Gale Ave, so if you've noticed anything unusual in that neighborhood lately, that's worth mentioning to police too.
