Free Outdoor Movies Return to The Berkshires for Summer 2026

A favorite summer pastime of outdoor movies in the Berkshires is back for the 2022 season.

The Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Pittsfield has announced that the outdoor summer movies series at Clapp Park will return this June.

Family-friendly movies will be shown on select Friday nights this summer and are scheduled to begin at dusk, around 8:30 pm.

This years line-up includes some fan favorites, great for families with kids of all ages.

Friday, June 26: Zootopia 2-

In the animated sequel Zootopia 2, rookie police partners Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the run as branded fugitives after they are framed while investigating a high-stakes conspiracy that uncovers the hidden history of their city

Friday, July 17: Freakier Friday-

In the fantasy comedy sequel Freakier Friday, mother-daughter duo Tess and Anna Coleman face a brand new identity crisis when a magical mishap forces them into a complex, four-way multigenerational body swap right before a family wedding

Friday, August 14: Barbie -

In the 2023 satirical fantasy comedy Barbie, Stereotypical Barbie suffers an existential crisis that forces her to leave the matriarchal utopia of Barbieland for the real world, sparking a chaotic cultural clash when her companion Ken discovers patriarchy

Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets each night. The Lions Club of Pittsfield will also be selling popcorn and sodas during each event. Only cash will be accepted.
