Last Chance for Free Outdoor Movies in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

The city of Pittsfield, Massachusetts brought back a favorite summer pastime for summer 2026 and it's been a great success.

The Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Pittsfield announced that the outdoor summer movies series at Clapp Park would return this June.

All summer long, family-friendly movies were shown on select Friday nights which were all scheduled to begin at dusk, around 8:30 pm.

This years line-up included some fan favorites, great for families with kids of all ages. If you've missed them so far, this Friday, August 14, is your last chance to take advantage. The final week's movie selection is definitely a fan favorite.

Friday, August 14: Barbie -

In the 2023 satirical fantasy comedy Barbie, Stereotypical Barbie suffers an existential crisis that forces her to leave the matriarchal utopia of Barbieland for the real world, sparking a chaotic cultural clash when her companion Ken discovers patriarchy.

Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets each night. The Lions Club of Pittsfield will also be selling popcorn and sodas during each event. Only cash will be accepted.
