Just when you think you can't take the cold winter for one more day, there is a light on the horizon! We're not talking about spring, but we are talking about winter fireworks!

Usually, by mid-February, cabin fever has officially set in for folks in western Massachusetts. We're itching to get out of the house as a few teases of warm weather get out hopes up for an early spring. What better reason to get the whole family out of the house than one of our country's favorite pastimes...FIREWORKS!

Normally fireworks are associated with summertime celebrations, whether kicking the season at on Memorial Day or the best fireworks holiday of the year, the Fourth of July, we always think of the summer months for fireworks, but they can be spectacular in the winter.

Winter fireworks are back in downtown Pittsfield, MA to celebrate the 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival on Saturday, February 26 at the First Street Common in Pittsfield. Greylock Federal Credit Union has stepped up to sponsor this amazing 10 minutes of fireworks at this event that is free and open to the public.

The show will start as close to 6 pm as possible and there will be ten minutes of fireworks to celebrate the festival with a bang. If you want to get there early, Berkshire United Way will be hanging out before the event for an afternoon full of family fun before the fireworks get started.

The rain date for this event is Sunday, February 23rd at 6 pm.
