On Thursday, Apr. 25, the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center will host “Intro to Golf,” as part of its Froio after Hours monthly programming series. The program is free and open to the public.

The interactive session will be held 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium on the second floor of the center. It will be led by several instructors including, but not limited to, Council on Aging Executive Director, Jim Clark; Jeff Doscher, Maryann and Brian Hyatt; Vin Marinaro; and City Councilor Tony Simonelli.

Participants are welcome to bring their golf clubs. Light refreshments will be served.

Theresa Bianchi, president of the Pittsfield Council on Aging Board, notes the program’s popularity to date.

“We have had great success, and I hope some fun, over the past few months beginning with a cooking show, led by Anna Gershenson in February. During last month’s “Tech Talk,” we learned about smart phones and tablets with city IT experts Scott Connors and Jamie Munn,” Bianchi said. “Whether you are 8 or 80, please join us for a Thursday night out and have some fun.”

Looking ahead, May’s session will feature a conversation on the uses and benefits of medical marijuana.
