On Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:00 a.m., we once again, "fall back" to (EST). So, before you go to bed Saturday night be sure to turn your clocks back one hour.

Only 40% of countries in the world use Daylight Saving Time (DST), and its use is debatable. In the U.S. only two states do not observe DST, (most of) Arizona and Hawaii.

Originally to save energy during WWI, DST was enacted, it was later scrapped and then brought back.

Studies have shown, that switching to DST from early March to early November saves on electricity. Apparently more people use energy at night, lights, television etc etc. Another advantage of DST are those long summer nights!

It has been said that the U.S. has toyed around with the idea of doing away with Daylight Saving Time altogether.
