Heritage Pittsfield Morning Radio Host, Joanne Billow Retires From Greylock
"Get your buns outta bed!", was Joanne Billow's catchphrase when she hosted Live 105.5's morning show, (formerly Rock 105, now Live 95.9). Hired in 1983, Billow hosted mornings on Live 105.5 and eventually WUPE-FM until her departure in 2007.

"Slater and Marjo In The Morning" had some fun with Billow this morning when they called her and repeated her old phrase to her on her first day of retirement.
Billow, who was hired by Greylock Federal Credit Union in 2007, retired on Wednesday.
"So, I was in my fifties and I had no retirement, so I was like, 'What the heck am I gonna do'", said Billow. "I happened to be doing a remote broadcast at Greylock in Adams and John Bissell, (Greylock President), was there and so I walked up to him quietly and asked him, 'Hey does anyone ever leave your marketing team?', and he says, 'No, why, you wanna leave radio?', and I said 'Yes!'. Literally, two years later to the day, he hired me. It was amazing, such a different world. It was a really great experience, I'm so glad I did it."
Billow served as Greylock's Marketing Services Manager from 2007-2021.
"Don't get me wrong, radio was in my blood, I ate, drank, and smoked it, it really was who I was. I was really lucky to live my passion for almost thirty years.", said Billow to Slater and Marjo this morning.
Let's take a trip down Billow's morning radio memory lane...
JOHN MELLENCAMP!
