High Speed Crash Stemmed From Road Rage
Trevor G. Maffuccio, 20, of Pittsfield, crossed the double yellow line in order to pass another vehicle on Holmes Rd. Wednesday at speeds of 80-85 MPH according to theberkshireeagle.com.
Maffuccio, who originally told police he was traveling at approximately 70 MPH in the 40 MPH zone, side swiped a van who was traveling in the opposite direction sending its passenger, Shaun Delmolino, 50, to BMC due to back pain.
Police said that the hit-and-run crash was due to road rage between Maffuccio and another driver that started on Route 7 in Lenox. It was unclear who the other driver was.
Maffuccio is facing several charges, and police have requested his driver's license be revoked.
