Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

“She ain’t nothing but a hound dog!” Well, that’s only partially true.

This week's Pet of the Week is Lexy Bell, one of Berkshire Humane Society's resident Treeing Walker Coonhounds. This sweet, 7-year-old spayed female arrived at Berkshire Humane Society along with her two brothers due to housing issues.

This beautiful girl with soulful eyes is looking for a retirement home where she can take long walks, sniff all the good smells in typical hound fashion, and sing the songs of her people. Lexy Bell is dog friendly and would benefit from going to a home with another dog, although kennel staff jokingly refer to her as “the fun police” during play sessions.

Lexy Bell is housebroken, calm, laid-back, and wants nothing more than all the attention she can soak up. She’ll even try to be a lap dog so she can snuggle up with you as close as possible. She could potentially live with respectful children, but no cats as she does not care for them.

If you’re looking for a great dog to hang out and play ball with, this lovely lady may be just who you’re looking for.
