The fight for human rights never ends, and nor should it. I watched a family member struggle with his sexuality for a decade before coming out as gay. It was not fun to witness. Although I cannot speak for him, I'm sure he doesn't have many pleasant memories of those years.

In classic fashion, so to speak, he wanted to live in massive metropolitan areas that were known for accepting all walks of life, cities such as New York or Los Angeles.

He so desperately wanted to not be gay. That's how cruel humans can still be to one another just because they can't understand someone's else's reality. I think we all know and understand by now that you are born gay.

Anyway, some law makers in Florida think that there is a time when and when not to introduce LGBTQ language in schools.

The State of Florida has just passed a bill that is nicknamed "Don't Say Gay", and some people are absolutely horrified.

Lest we forget the Pulse Nightclub tragedy in Orlando in 2016.

The proposed law, often referred to by critics as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, bans public school districts from teaching about sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through the third grade, or “in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students”. -time.com
