I remember running on the Ashuwillticock trail pushing my then 2-year-old son, Liam, when a fox approached us. A walker coming from the other direction yelled to me, "Hey, watch out for that! Don't let him (the fox) get any closer to your kid."

The fox didn't end up doing anything, I think I grabbed a stick or something and tried to shoo it away. The fox eventually just took off running.

I have heard that foxes are primarily nocturnal; however, when they are out during the day, some can be rabid.
