Berkshire County has been warming up. We have been enjoying some mild temperatures in the 60s and even the low 70s for the past couple of days. With April on the horizon, there is more outdoor fun to be had, including ice cream.

One of Berkshire County's beloved ice cream spots, Krispy Cones Soft Serve Ice Cream in Lanesborough, will be opening soon.

Krispy Cones offers a variety of soft serve flavors, along with hard ice cream, and is more than an outdoor ice cream shop. The eatery has a packed menu of items that is perfect for lunch and dinner with the family, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, pizza, cheesestakes, seafood, a kids' menu, and more.

Another aspect that makes Kripsy Cones more than just ice cream is that the business has a whole slew of fun slides and rides up on the hill behind the building. It's one of my daughter's favorite playgrounds in Berkshire County. From the twisty slide, the pirate ship slide, the bulldozer swing set and slide, the state police helicopter slide, and more, the playground is a child's paradise.

As noted earlier, Krispy Cones will be opening in a few weeks. I was actually driving on Route 7/South Main Street on Monday evening, and I passed Krispy Cones, and eventhough it's not been posted to the business's Facebook page yet, there was a sign in front of the store that notes that Krispy Cones will be opening on April 17. So get your appetite ready. For more information about Krispy Cones and for questions, check out the business's website and Facebook page.
