'Tis the season for apple picking, cider donuts, and all things fall.

While the Fall season doesn't officially start until September 22, the temperatures are starting to creep lower in and the leaves are beginning to change and Berkshire County is getting in the spirit. Picking Pumpkins is on the list, but of course, so is picking apples.

The Berkshires are peppered with places to pick apples on a crisp fall day. Weather enjoyed fresh off the branch or taken home to make a homemade pie, a day of picking apples is a fall must. And let's not forget about those freshly made cider donuts...

One Richmond, MA orchard has made a list of the top ten places in the entire state to pick your apples compiled by Only in Your State.

Located at 575 Swamp Road, Bartlett's Orchard has been a longstanding fall Berkshire landmark, but now the rest of the state knows it as well with its number six ranking on the list. Here's what they had to say.

Bartlett's Apple Orchard has some of the tastiest fruit in the Berkshires. Pick your own apples, veggies. and pumpkins before indulging in a warm batch of the farm's muffins or cider donuts. Take home a delicious pie for later or bake up your own with all that fresh fruit.
