The real estate market is still booming here in Berkshire County with everyone from first-time homeowners to luxury property hunters scooping up houses.

Perusing the luxury market (i.e. drooling over homes I could never afford) is one of my favorite internet past times and I especially love a good renovation. When I saw "The Brookman" on the market in my hometown of Williamstown I was excited to see what had been done. Needless to say, I was not disappointed.

Listed by Billy Keane and Waterfall Perry of Jan Perry Realty, The Brookman offers almost 5,000 square feet of newly renovated modern luxury in the picturesque northern  Berkshire town. This is the first time the home has been on the market post-renovation.

Before a potential owner arrives home, they pass through Peace Valley Farm, a working operation offering fresh produce, popular with local residents. Located at the end of a gravel drive that takes you up the mountainside, the home is situated adjacent to freshly planted gardens and an impeccably manicured vineyard.

The Brookman is surrounded by almost 40 deeded mountainside acres, which includes a barn venue, currently undergoing full restoration. Views of Mount Greylock remind visitors that they are indeed in the middle of the gorgeous Berkshire hills, yet only 3 hours from either NYC or Boston, making it appealing for out of town or investment buyers.
