I was heartbroken when Bed Bath and Beyond shut down its physical locations throughout Massachusetts. Yes, the company continued on via online shopping options, but it just wasn't the same as going into the store and checking out all of the item options for my home.

Over the years, my wife and I showered our home with many items that came from Bed Bath and Beyond. We spent a lot of time shopping and discovering new treasures for our home, particularly in the Pittsfield store. As a matter of fact, Bed Bath and Beyond was selected as our wedding registry when we got married in 2008. Needless to say, we were fans of the retailer.

As with anything, times changed, the economy changed, shopping habits changed, and Bed Bath & Beyond, like so many other brick-and-mortar stores, had to call it a day and shut down its physical locations throughout the country.

The good news is Bed Bath and Beyond is making a comeback. The retailer has returned with 22 locations, and that's just in the near future. As time goes on, the company is planning on opening even more physical locations.

According to Bed Bath & Beyond, there are three Massachusetts stores that are part of the phase one openings. They include the following:

  • Chestnut Hill, 55 Boylston St., MA (617) - 655-8500
  • Natick, 1265 Worcester St., MA (508) - 655-8500
  • Peabody, 210 Andover St., MA (978) 278-3130

The company also stated that the 22 locations, including the three in Massachusetts, will begin welcoming customers to the new format immediately. You can get more details on the new locations, the big picture, and the vision of the company by going here.
