2 Massive National Banks Closing 3 Locations in Massachusetts
Massachusetts is no stranger to companies shutting down store locations or going out of business altogether. It's a sign of the times as more people prefer to shop and bank online. Speaking of banks, there are more closures scheduled to take place in Massachusetts.
Banks continue to close branches at a steady pace. You may recall this past February and March, Bank of America shut down four branches in Massachusetts including Boston, Braintree, North Reading, and South Dennis branches. According to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Bank of America will be closing another Boston branch. The 333 Longwood Ave. location is on the chopping block. A closing date hasn't been announced at this point.
In Addition to Bank of America, Another National Bank is Set to Close Two Massachusetts Branches
TD Bank will also be shutting down a couple of Massachusetts branches including the following:
- 370 Main Street, Worcester, MA
- 460 Newtown Street, South Hadley, MA
Again, no specific dates are given for these two upcoming closings, but they will be shutting down soon. You can view more bank closings outside of Massachusetts by going here.
