About a month ago, Eric Taylor, owner and operator of the The Lake House Guest Cottages of The Berkshires opened the doors to The Proprietor's Lodge, a newly renovated private function venue in the old ITAM Lodge on the Pittsfield side of Pontoosuc Lake.

In addition to the new event space, the entrepreneur announced it would also be home to a 150 seat lakeside restaurant on the first floor of the building.  A classic American fare concept, with a menu ranging from wild Maine Lobster, to Cajun Zoodles, Chicken Oscar and six cuts of steak to choose from, it's reported that the restaurant had come to an agreement with two former chefs from Cranwell Resort and Spa in Lenox to run the kitchen.

When the plan for restaurant was first announced the owners were still working on hours of operation and were unsure of an opening date but the big day has come, and it's tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 9.

The Proprietor's Lodge will be open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and starting Nov. 18, doors will be open Sunday Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Check out the full menu and view from the new dining room.
