No One Injured in Pittsfield Structure Fire

The Pittsfield Fire Department responded to a porch fire around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

Deputy Cheif Ron Clement told Live 95.9 that firefighters from A-Group responded to 17 Richardson St. to reports of a porch fire at the rear of the building. Firefireights worked quickly to contain the blaze which was knocked down before an extension into the building.

Thanks to the swift work of the PFD, there were no injuries to residents or firefighters. The cause of the fire was improperly discarded smoking material.
