North Adams Woman Dies From Injuries Sustained In Attack

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner informed the State Police Detective Unit that Charli Cook, 41, died at Baystate Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

She’s been hospitalized since July 11 after a brutal attack by her husband Michael Cook in North Adams.

The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office previously indicted Michael Cook on charges of assault to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a household member, and armed assault with intent to murder.

He is being held at the Berkshire County House of Correction as a danger to the community.

District Attorney Andrea Harrington will be seeking to indict Michael Cook on a murder charge.
