Every Wednesday at 8:30 Slater and I are joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

This week's Pet of the Week is Liberty. She's a seven year old hound mix, an absolute cuddle bug, who loves attention and petting. She came to the shelter with her siblings (who have already gone to new homes) when their owner could not care for them anymore.

Liberty is looking for a more low key, quiet and easy going household. She can get jumpy and excited when she knows it's time for a walk or play. Needless to say, she loves exploring the outdoors. She can be vocal if there lots of people and commotion, which is why a quiet home setting would be appreciated. Liberty did live with her dog siblings, but now prefers to be the queen of the castle and the only pet. Other dogs could be possible, but definitely no cats.
