A wine and beer tasting that benefits The Pittsfield Education Foundation?! Sign me up.

This Friday night, the newly founded Pittsfield Education Foundation will hold its inaugural fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berkshire Hills Country Club. PEF, a grassroots non-profit, in it's first year of existence, was founded by three Berkshire County educators Kimberlee Chappell, Julie Pellerin-Herrera and Cindy Taylor, who came together with the ideals of enriching students lives, beyond what the curriculum had budgeted for.  The foundation hopes to support teachers in their efforts to enhance students education with grants for specific projects and programs.

To improve the achievement and success of the children and teachers in the Pittsfield Public Schools by enhancing educational opportunities and building broad-based community support for quality public education.
