Pittsfield Fire Deparment Names New Chief

This morning the City of Pittsfield will name a new Fire Chief.

About two months after Chief Robert Czerwinski stepped down from the post, a media release from the Office of Mayor Linda Tyer announced that Deputy Fire Chief Tom Sammons has accepted the position.  Since the retirement announcement from the former Chief, Deputy Chief Dan Garner has held the interim position.

Mayor Tyer will hold a press conference today at 10 a.m. at City Hall to officially make the announcement.
