This morning the Pittsfield Police Department is looking for the communitys help in aiding in the search for the driver in a hit and run that left a motorcyclist dead.

According to the Pittsfield Police Department's Face Book page, yesterday, August 24, 2018 at approximately 5:40 PM, a motor vehical versus motorcycle accident at the intersection of Linden and John Street, took the life of the motorcycle operator, Alan J. Keefe of Pittsfield.   

A grey 2002 Dodge 2500 Pick Up was traveling west bound on Linden St and attempted to make a turn onto John St when it collided with the east bound 1994 Harley Davidson. Keefe was transported to BMC via County Ambulance where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Based on witness information, the pick-up truck, which had fled the scene, was located on South John St. The operator had fled on foot towards West St and was not located.
